  Akcros Forms Strategic Partnership on Biocides with DOW in North America It gives me great pleasure to announce that Akcros has completed the formation of a strategic alliance with DOW Microbial Control for North America. Under this agreement, Akcros will become Dow Microbial Control’s exclusive channel partner in the US and Canada for OBPA and Isothiazolone-based biocides for the polymer markets.

• AKCROS CHEMICALS CELEBRATES 75 YEARS

  This year Akcros Chemicals is celebrating 75 years. To mark the occasion, a celebratory evening for both current and past employees was held to which over 200 people attended. From the reaction of people on the night and the emails received afterwards, a great time was had by all. The picture shows some of those past and present employees at the event. Ex-employees were able to reflect on a fantastic array of nostalgic photographs collated especially for the occasion while also catching up with the progress made in the company in the past few years, getting a taste of the new projects such as Dragonkraft and phenol-free which are continuing to excite customers today.

  Dragonkraft to launch renewable epoxy resins at JEC 2012 with Akcros and Keyser &MacKay The Dragonkraft team will be demonstrating their new epoxy resins at the JEC show in Paris; 27th to 29th March. The products being promoted will provide a fresh novel resin system to the market, with Resin from 100% renewable carbon sources and a hardener/booster package with 20% renewable content.

• Lord Digby Jones Appointed Chairman at Grove Industries

  We are pleased to announce that Grove Industries (GIL) has appointed Lord Digby Jones as Chairman. The move comes three months after the untimely death of Grove’s former chairman David Grove.
