Six Years Operating with no LTI
The employees at the New Brunswick Site have achieved a Significant Safety Milestone. As of June 30, 2008 the employees have worked 627,319 hours or 2,218 days without a Lost Time Accident. The last Lost Time incident was recorded on June 7, 2002.
Management requires that each and every employee participate in the safety programs and has made safety a measured item during annual performance reviews. The Site has implemented a number of programs designed to heighten awareness and boost personal behaviour. A behavioural safety system and the 5-S Housekeeping program have had a measurable success rate at New Brunswick.
